Dimsum and Chinatown, Singapore
I have to admit that I'm not a fan of any Chinatown. The name alone brings one word to mind: congestion. Not to mention littered streets. Well, I've only been to a few Chinatowns in the world so forgive me if there are clean, uncongested ones I don't know about.
If there's one thing that makes me face my "fear", it's (tah daaaahhh) dimsum. I love it! So when we landed on a restaurant named Da Dong that had a dimsum cart outside, it was heaven for me! Their siu mai and har kaw make the ones in Big Buddha look pitiful. If I had space in my stomach, I'm sure I would be able to finish about 4 plates. Each plate already had 4 big, tight ones and one dimsum felt like 4 spoonfulls.
Argh. I think I have to stop blogging about this now. It's making me hungry and I still have more than an hour until lunch time.
