Back to Make-up

The last time I professionally applied make-up on someone was last January 2008. It has been too long. It's now time to return to my sponges, palettes and brushes. I took my first step back to make-up artistry yesterday by throwing out my old make-up from my train case. This means I have to update the kit and fill it up with fresh stock.

My first trip back to the make-up counters was during my recent trip to Singapore. Actually, I even went to the beauty school Cosmoprof. Yesterday, I went to Rustan's Alabang's cosmetics section and I visited Beauty Bar. I missed being around make-up and I couldn't help but feel excited.

As part of my "comeback", I plan to take more lessons so that I can be in touch with the world of beauty once again. I have a basic make-up artistry certificate from Center for Aesthetics Studies (formerly ICI Training Center). I'm thinking of taking the advance make-up course this March. Another option would be the Make-up For Ever Academy which is quite honestly very tempting because the brand is internationally-renowned.

Aside from additional knowledge, I'm already scheduling a photo shoot with a photographer friend this February.

So far, so good. Let's see what happens next.
