Good job, Bench!

Kudos to Ben Chan's Human Resources Head, or to whoever thought of employing deaf-mute personnel.

I'm not sure if this is old news but it sure is new to me. We were at Shangri-la Edsa last Friday shopping for a Christmas gift at Bench. I was speaking to the salesclerk about sizes when my husband pointed out that she was wearing a tag which said "I'm Deaf".

At last! A Filipino retail store that took a step in giving our hearing-impaired brothers and sisters a chance! According to one of the Bench ladies, there's at least one deaf-mute personnel in every branch. Although deaf, the salesclerk was still pretty - we still can't help hiring the pretty frontliners. Nevertheless, good job! Maybe in the future there will be opportunities for people with other disabilities and our elderly who still want to earn.
