My Dream House

I read, in one of the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series, that dreams come true when you visualize it. There was this one woman who did not only visualize her dreams in her mind, but she actually made an album of her dreams. She put cut-outs from magazines in her album - her dream man, her dream car, etc. And you know what? All her dreams came true. Exactly the way she visualized it and exactly how she laid it out in her album. If this story didn't come from Chicken Soup, I too would say that it's unbelievable!

Anyway, the one thing that I'm really looking forward to is having a home we can call our own. Of course, being a girl, I have lots of ideas on how my dream house will look like inside more than outside. I've been thinking of color schemes and furniture and appliances for my dream house. So just in case the above-mentioned story can work for me too, I've collected some photos of how I want certain areas of my dream house to look like.

Here's the living room where we will be receiving our guests. In lieu of a coffee table, I want to have a...what's it called? Oh well, just look at the photo and you'll know what it is. 'It' has no sharp edges so that the living room is safe for the kids to play in....

Here's the dining room that's bright enough for comfy breakfasts...

I love cooking so I want a kitchen that's spacious and bright. Also, take note of the island where the family can also get together for snacks...

Personally, I think the bedroom should be a relaxing and warm place. I'd like to have a lot of brown, tan, khaki and white colors in the master's bedroom...

Of course, my dream home won't be complete without a TV room. My husband and I love watching TV and movies so it's just logical for us to have a room where we can watch our favorite shows and films. We're not music fans but our kids might be so this can also be a place where our kids can hang out with their friends....

The sky's the limit sa panaginip (in dreams) so I guess we can all go ahead and dream BIG! :)
